TCP/IP Model

Layer protocol model for internetwork communications was created in the early 1970s and referred to as a model internet. Model internet is often referred to as TCP/IP model as the Internet model has the architectural structure of the TCP/IP protocol suite.

The TCP/IP model is an open standard. Standard definition and protocol TCP/IP is discussed in a public forum and defined public also in the form of a document set. The documents are called Requests for Comments (RFC). The contents of the document containing the official specifications of the data communication protocols and resources that describe the use of protocols. In addition, the Requests for Comments (RFS) also contain technical and organizational documents about the Internet, including technical specifications and policy documents produced by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).
